Got Citizenship Go Vote Manitoba

The GOT CITIZENSHIP? GO VOTE! Campaign is hosting three Candidacy Training sessions for Manitobans with lived experience as newcomers, immigrants and refugees to run for council in municipal elections. Each session will include interactive activities, an overview of the eligibility and roles and responsibilities of city councillors, and current and former elected officials will share their experiences running a campaign

Newcomer and Ethnocultural Youth Candidacy Training Session

“GOT CITIZENSHIP? GO VOTE!” is a non-partisan, civic engagement public awareness campaign, which aims to encourage Canadian citizens of immigrant and refugee communities to vote in the municipal, provincial and federal elections. For the 2022 Manitoba Municipal Elections, our campaign seeks to increase the knowledge, understanding and capacity of Manitobans with lived experience to run in municipal elections.
